Ingredients:
Sumac, thyme, sesame seeds, marjoram, oregano salt [25g].
Quick & Easy:
Mix 1 tsp with 2 tbsp olive oil, add salt and brush onto freshly toasted pitta bread, tortilla or flat breads, Serve warm.
More Authentic:
Mix with oil and rub all over lamb or chicken for a distinctive and delicious roast dinner.
Cooking to Impress:
Marinade fish with a mixture of olive oil, salt, lemon juice, za’atar and parsley. Then pan fry the fish.
Hints & Tips:
1. Mix plain yogurt with 1 tsp of za’atar for a refreshing dip for flatbreads, carrots and celery
2. Add a squeeze of olive oil and a sprinkle of Za’atar to hummus
3. Use Za’ater as a salad dressing from simply adding to olive oil and salt or by further adding crushed garlic and some lemon juice
